Open up on Andariel once you get her into a Staggered state. If your character is not in range, ignore the Rune Chains and keep damaging Andariel. We suggest instantly switching to DPS a Rune Chain down as soon as it appears with your character in the range of its AOE. These pull the player in and open them up to Andariel's attacks they activate quickly, with a circle AOE effect pulling you in. While her charge and magic attacks are deadly, they can combine with Rune Chains that spawn during the fight. Quickly take care of the Rune Chains when they spawn. If you managed to get boots with a +1 Evade charge affix, that will help a lot here. We suggest waiting until the boss telegraphs a charge and running around the huge boss fight area, staying on the move. The first and most important thing you need to know to beat Andariel is that she hits exceptionally hard, has throws out long lines of magic that we can only describe as pain. As Andariel's title, "Maiden of Anguish," might suggest, she delivers the pain at the end of Diablo 4 Act IV, "A Gathering Storm." This was the first story boss in Diablo 4 that gave us trouble during our review period, as Andariel can be quite difficult to beat.
